Ages 5-18
Our competition team is for dedicated dancers who are ready to take their training to the next level and prioritze both the art and sport of dance. These talented dancers grow in their dance abilities and make lifelong friendships with their teammates.
Year after year, we are so inspired by the growth we see in our dancers. They grow as young artists and leaders both in and out of the dance studio.

Our competition team dancers compete with team-level groups, full team group, solos, duos, trios, and select groups at regional dance competitions. But they shine not only at competitions, but also in our masterful local performances such as The PDC Christmas Special and the beloved June Performance.
Our dancers learn sportsmanship, how to support their fellow team members, and much more that prepares them for life after the studio.

ELITE 1 (AGES 6-7)
MAIN FOCUS: Sparking the love of dance! We create a joy-filled environment where our youngest students can cultivate their passion for dance.
OPPORTUNITIES AND INCLUSIONS: Mini Company dancers have the opportunity to perform in the Nutcracker, Spring Dance Creations (a student-choreographed show), our annual June Performance, as well as other fun local events such as football game halftime shows and more!
Our Mini Competition Team is the perfect way for dancers to have fun while learning about performance and dance technique.
Our Mini Team dancers get a strong dance foundation. We are preparing them for a successful dancing career from the start!
ELITE 2 (AGES 8-9)
MAIN FOCUS: Combining the same energy and fun from Mini Team, but with a bit more technical training. This is where we start to fine-tune our dancer's technique!
OPPORTUNITIES AND INCLUSIONS: Junior Company dancers have the opportunity to take their training to the next level!
Joyful Junior members enjoy more performance opportunities than Mini Company as they spend additional time in the studio training with faculty.
These dancers are eager to learn more and LOVE the extra time training with their teammates.
ELITE 3 (AGES 10-13)
MAIN FOCUS: Cultivating strong dance technique while growing in more mature friendships!
OPPORTUNITIES AND INCLUSIONS: Bridging the gap between Junior and Senior Company, our Terrific Teen Company is perfect for our Middle School aged dancers. Teen Company members continue to grow into beautiful and proficient technical dancers while training with the faculty throughout the week.
Once a dancer reaches our Teen Company, they also have the very special opportunity to become a Teacher's Assistant and help with younger classes!
Just like the Mini and Junior Companies, our Terrific Teens enjoy our performing and competing opportunities throughout the year!
ELITE 4 (AGES 14-18)
MAIN FOCUS: Advanced dance technique training coupled with learning about life skills that every young person needs when graduating high school and going off into the world!
OPPORTUNITIES AND INCLUSIONS: Our Shining Senior Company also performs the most out of all BFDS Companies. Senior Company dancers have the opportunity to compete with solos, duets, and trios along with their Company Group Pieces.
Shining Senior members are the role models of the studio to all of our younger dancers and train the most out of all other BFDS dancers throughout the week alongside our amazing faculty. Senior Company dancers also have the opportunity to be Teacher's Assistants and help with classes throughout the week.
Our Shining Seniors enjoy the performing opportunities of The Nutcracker, Spring Dance Creations (a student-choreographed show), June Performance, and other amazing inclusions throughout the year!
